From here, the view sweeps both to Hohenaschau Castle and the Kampenwand and gondolas on their way to the summit plateau of the 1669 m high Kampenwand, which is the landmark of the Chiemgau region with its distinctive peaks. An individual arrival is possible at any time. The keys are in a key box outside the house. You enter Haus Burg through a mighty, green wooden door and reach the elevator via a lofty corridor with Solnhofener slabs and knightly décor. Apartment 101 Your holiday home is located on the 1st floor, at the end of the corridor, on the right side. The apartment is exclusively for non-smokers. A toddler up to 3 years old lives for free. However, there is no baby equipment, which would have to be brought. Parties and more than 2 people are not allowed.
The main attraction of Aschau is the Kampenwand. She is comfortable with gondola but also to overcome on foot. The spacious summit plateau invites to walks of various degrees of difficulty as well as to walks. The view is just terrific. You look down on Lake Chiemsee or let your gaze wander far over the mountain peaks. Various pastures invite you to strengthen.
The Chiemsee with the Fraueninsel and Herreninsel, on which Herrenchiemsee Castle, built by Ludwig II, stands, is only a few kilometers away and one of the major attractions of the region. The surrounding area invites to walks of all difficulties or to leisurely stroll along the Bankl path.
Aschau is in summer and winter a good starting point for tours into the near alpine surroundings, for example to Reit im Winkl with the famous Winklmoos Alm and the Zahmer Kaiser.
Sachrang is only 12 km away and is known for its hiking and mountaineering routes and in winter for its extensive trails.
Munich and Salzburg can be reached within an hour's drive.
Orthopedic Children's Hospital in Aschau is 2.8 km away.
